For over 25 years, An Claidheamh Soluis/The Celtic Arts Center, a member-supported and run non-profit cultural arts organization has been following its mission and building a sense of community within Greater Los Angeles and Southern California. Its continuing mission is to preserve and foster the performing and visual arts, languages, music, folklore and traditions of the seven original Celtic nations — Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales — as well as that of their diaspora who continue to create and perform throughout the world.

The flagship event of the week once again this year is IRELANDCON – The Ireland Conference , celebrating creativity and innovation across, Tech, Trade, Culture And Entertainment.. IRELANDCON will take place this year on Thursday Nov 1st at LMU’s brand new state of the art campus in Playa Vista, in the heart of the emerging tech scene in Silicon Beach. LMU Playa Vista Campus houses graduate programs for LMU School of Film and Television. Once again, this year will see dozens of events happening across Los Angeles, covering Live music, Theatre, Visual Art, Film and TV, Sport, and Animation as well a many other areas of interest not just to the Irish diaspora here in Los Angeles, but to those keen on doing business in these fields in Ireland.

The Irish Fair Foundation

The Irish Fair foundation  puts on many programs and events for the Irish American community in Southern California including the Big Irish Fair, the Southern California Rose of Tralee, the Irish Man and Woman of the Year, and the Saint Patrick’s Day Civic Center Ceremonies in Los Angeles.

Started in 1975, the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Irish and Irish-American culture in the Southern California area. Its primary goal is to present and preserve our Irish culture by sponsoring events that will promote our “Irish dance, music, theatre, language, sports and all other aspects of our heritage.

The 2019 Irish Fair and Music Festival will take place on Father’s Day weekend June 15th and 16th. We will be celebrating all things Irish

Newport Beach Film Festival

Celebrated as one of the leading lifestyle film festivals in the United States, and attracting 50,000 film & food fans in 2018, NBFF seeks to bring Orange County the best of contemporary filmmaking from over 50 countries all around the world.

In addition to our large collection of feature and short films, NBFF welcomes 90 of the area’s best restaurants, chefs, caterers and tasty treats to serve at our 15 parties, making us one of the largest culinary events in all of Southern California.

The Irish Center of Southern California

The Irish Center of Southern California, Inc. promotes Irish culture and supports our local Irish and Irish-American community. The primary aim of the Center is to acquire a multi-purpose facility including a theater, library, social hall, museum and meeting rooms. The facility will be used for lectures, concerts, socials, plays and classes in Irish music, language and dance. The Center hopes that the facility will provide a physical “center” for our community.

In addition to providing a facility, the Center will sponsor and promote activities focusing on the strong bonds between Ireland

Los Angeles Police Emerald Society

The Los Angeles Police Emerald Society ranks include personnel from Federal, State, County, Local
Law Enforcement Agencies, and Civilians. We were the first and are the largest Emerald Society on
the West Coast of this great Country of ours. We are a chapter of the National Conference of Law
Enforcement Emerald Societies (NCLEES).

Our objective is to raise funds for Police Survivors on a national, state, county, and local level. We
foster good will among members of law enforcement and civilian communities throughout
Southern California and beyond. We acknowledge the accomplishments and dedication of Irish
American and All Law Enforcement Officers. We promote and educate the public about our gaelic
and law enforcement heritage.

Memberships: $30 annually, Lifetime $375, Corporate $250 annually. We ask for your help in
recruiting new members and new corporate members. Download and print out our Membership Application.
We encourage our members to use our corporate members services which can be found on our
webpage.

Our Annual St. Patrick’s Day Police Survivors Fund raising Dinner is held on the last Saturday of
February, at the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base. We hold functions throughout the year
that can be found on this website and on our Facebook page www.facebook/policeemerald.

LA County Firefighters Emerald Society

The Los Angeles County Firefighter Emerald Society is dedicated in it’s Mission to honor the memory of fallen Firefighters, provide public safety education & sponsorship opportunities, and  enhance and improve Firefighter health & safety by working with all Firefighter Associations.

The purpose of the Los Angeles County Firefighters Emerald Society is to provide a fraternal organization for Firefighters and friends of the Fire Service whom celebrate Gaelic heritage and wish to continue the fine traditions that have made firefighting what it is today.

Gaelic heritage is not required for membership.

Theatre Banshee

Theatre Banshee is delighted to announce that we finally have our own theatre. The Gene Bua Theatre, our home for the last 12 years, is now The Banshee. Theatre Banshee will produce productions and rent The Banshee for visiting productions, classes and events.
