The Butler-Fearon-O’Connor School of Irish Dance is one of the top Irish dance schools in the world. Founded in 2003 as a result of a merge between the world-famous Butler-Fearon School of Canada and California, and the O’Connor-Kennedy School in California, it has quickly become the premier school in the Western US and in eastern Canada, as well as internationally. The directors of the school are Rose Fearon, ADCRG, Vincent O’Connor, SDCRG and Kathleen O’Connor, ADCRG.

Classes are offered for all levels of dancers, from very beginner to championship. We offer a variety of instruction from certified teachers in all locations, and strive to make each child the very best Irish dancer that they can be.

Welcome to CIDA (Celtic Irish Dance Academy). CIDA, based out of Los Angeles is an Irish Dance school under the direction of Riverdance Star, Maeve Croke, TCRG ADCRG. Cleary Irish Dance

Burbank, Pasadena, Silver Lake, North Hollywood.

In 1988, Margaret Cleary A.D.C.R.G. introduced Irish Dance classes for adults at St. Ambrose Parish Hall in West Hollywood. The adult group were aptly known as The St. Ambrose Ceili Dancers and grew to be a reputable Irish organization within the Southern California community. They have attained six National titles for ceili dancing.

In 1993, Margaret added classes for children. Classes are now offered for students of all ages and levels. They study the traditional art form of Irish dance (reels, jigs and hornpipes) in both soft and hard shoes. Members of the group qualify every year to represent the Western U.S. region at the World Championships held annually at Easter in Ireland. Dancers perform regularly at events throughout the Southland and have appeared many times on local and national television as well as Irish TV (RTE). Cleary Irish Dance is proud to perpetuate the traditions and culture of Ireland in Los Angeles.

Established in 2013, our family-owned and operated business proudly serves communities in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County. Tamora holds a special place as a home for countless dancers, their families, and dedicated instructors, fostering cherished memories over the years.

Our committed instructors go beyond the dance floor, working diligently behind the scenes to create a unique experience for dancers. At Tamora, we not only provide top-notch Irish dancing instruction but also impart valuable life skills that extend beyond the studio, shaping individuals for a lifetime.

Throughout the year, dancers have the opportunity to showcase their talents to various audiences. Additionally, those inclined can participate in local, regional, national, and international competitions. We have had 6 Western US Region Champions, and our dancers have taken top 5 placements at the North American Irish Dancing Championships and top 10 and medaled at the World Irish Dancing Championships. Our instructors are certified by the international Irish Dancing Commission, An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha, and are SafeSport-certified.
